The Palm Grove circuit track in the Noosa National Park is a lovely shady walk with plenty to see. At only 1.1km long and mostly flat you are treated to the understory of the rainforest. There is so much biodiversity down here under the canopy of the tree tops. Mosses, fungi and algae grow on fallen timber and amongst the leaf litter. Look up and you can see crowsnest, staghorn and elkhorn ferns growing high up on the trunks searching for sunlight. And there’s plenty of bird life here in the forest too with brush turkeys scratching around and the call of the cat birds to keep you company along the way.
